Scenes from My Retirement Celebration at Christ Reformed Church (Updated Video)

Our church family at Christ Reformed hosted a wonderful retirement celebration for my wife and me. We are truly thankful to all of you for your kindness and great generosity!

Video:

I recorded a “thank you” video for the members of Christ Reformed Church who could not attend the celebration, but it applies to some of the long-time readers of the Riddleblog too.

The celebration planners also surprised me with out-takes from the Covid-19 lock-down, when all we could do was live-stream. Be careful what you do when the camera is rolling. People are now asking me for instruction in liturgical dance! Apparently, no one watching the taped services even noticed the movement of the flowers . . .

They also prepared a video montage of well-wishes from friends, colleagues, and church members past and present. Christ Reformed Church has a church news item about my retirement, including a Full Video Montage.

Mike Horton has known me a long time and his words were both enjoyed and appreciated!

My sons Dave and Mark both spoke, moving me to tears. Here’s Dave.
